In 2014, ten years after the release of Garden State, Braff started a kickstarter campaign to support his movie, “Wish I Was Here”, which he also wrote, directed and starred in.
Sarah Chalke
Since playing Dr. Elliot Reed, Sarah Chalke has kept busy by acting in both TV shows and films. Between 2008 and 2014, she starred in “How I Met Your Mother”, as one of Ted’s love interests, Stella.

Story
Now married to Elliot and expecting a child, J.D. returns to work with his best friend Turk at the newly rebuilt Sacred Heart Hospital. At Winston University, he, Turk, Dr. Kelso, and Dr. Cox serve as professors and Denise works as a faculty adviser to a young bunch of medical students. Among the students is the timid Lucy Bennett, hell-bent on making the most of med school, the womanizing Cole Aaronson, and the standoffish Drew Suffin who is actually making a second attempt at becoming a doctor. Scrubs Cast Facts
The main cast went skinny dipping together on Faison’s birthday: Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Faison appeared on AOL’s “Outside the Box” series and were asked by a fan about the weirdest or most memorable moment they’d had on or off the set.
J.D. and Turk were based on real doctors, one of which was “Scrubs” creator Bill Lawrence’s best friend in college: In 2004, Bill Lawrence and Braff appeared on NPR’s Fresh Air to talk about their still relatively new show at the time, along with the upcoming release of Braff’s “Garden State.” Lawrence talked about how the show was based in reality, partly because his best friend from the College of William & Mary — where he went for undergrad — was a future med school student named J.D.
Do Jd And Elliot End Up Together?
While J.D. and Elliot had an on-and-off romance throughout the series, it is not until the conclusion of Season 6 that they appear ready to get back together. The episode “My Point of No Return” ends with J.D. and Elliot lying on a bed in the on-call room, leaning in for a kiss.
Who Does Dj Marry In Scrubs?
Dorian, M.D. was a doctor of medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital for eight years until he moved to be closer to his son, Sammy. He is currently working as Residency Director at St. Vincent’s Hospital. J.D. is married to Elliot Reid and is best friends with Christopher Turk.
How Much Did Zach Braff Get Paid For Scrubs?
Zach even won a Grammy for the Garden State soundtrack. At the peak of Scrubs, Braff was one of the highest paid actors on television with a salary per episode of $350,000. At that rate, Braff earned $3.85 million for the seventh season of Scrubs alone. He also directed seven episodes of Scrubs.
Did Scrubs Get Cancelled?
Scrubs. First, NBC canceled Scrubs after seven seasons, then ABC picked it up before scrapping it again after season 9. By the time the ax finally fell on the hospital sitcom in 2010, creator Bill Lawrence had to agree that the show had come to a fair end. … It’s not really the type of show for a movie.”
